Fare calculation symbols and explanations

Article

Whichever method you use to build the fare calculation in a TST, you need to know how to include the different items and which symbols to use.

In the US market, the system edits the linear calculation, to ensure that you have added the word END and have not exceeded 248 characters.

Higher class differential

Use the letter D to identify a higher class differential. This indicates the difference in fares for two classes of service between the cities flown in the higher class. The D must come after a fare amount and before a city pair followed by the new fare amount, or a mileage indicator.
